This year the Rugby Union World Cup took place here in England. We celebrated this by learning a little about the culture of the countries that got through to the last eight in the competition.
To do this we visited different teachers and classrooms.
When we visited Year 6 we found out about Ireland – we sang the anthem, did some Irish dancing and had great fun.
WE THOUGHT WE SANG BETTER THAN THE TEAM:)
IN YEAR 5 WE LEARNED ABOUT THE HAKA WHICH COMES FROM NEW ZEALAND AND DID A VERY SPECIAL ST ALBAN’S HAKA
IT WAS BRILLIANT!
IN YEAR 4 WE WENT ON SAFARI TO SOUTH AFRICA
WE LEARNED ABOUT THE ANIMALS THAT LIVE THERE AND DREW THE FLAG
IN YEAR 3 WE FOUND OUT MORE AB OUT FRANCE AND LEARNED TO SAY SOME SENTENCES IN FRENCH
IN YEAR 2 WE USED THE iPADS TO RESEARCH FACTS ABOUT ARGENTINA
WE FOUND OUT LOTS OF DIFFERENT FACTS ABOUT THE COUNTRIES THAT TOOK PART ………..
…………….. AND A LITTLE ABOUT THE GAME, BUT I THINK MOST OF US STILL PREFER RUGBY LEAGUE!
Reception children have started working on ‘Talking Tables’ where we have been talking, drawing and writing about birthdays!
